3. Become a member
Your membership matters! ASI is a community-based organization, and support from individuals like you is essential to our work. A donation of any amount makes you a part of our grassroots effort to conserve Alaska’s birds through long-term, community-based monitoring. Your membership supports ASI’s research, as well as our integral, hands-on science education opportunities for kids, teens, and adults. Membership lasts 12 months from the date of your donation. Consistency of support from our members allows us to sustain our projects, plan for the future, and improves the impact of all our conservation efforts. Thank you!
There are many ways to give:
- Give online by filling out the secure, online donation form below. (Scroll down)
- Follow the link to download and mail a DONATION FORM. Make checks payable to: Alaska Songbird Institute.
- Join our frequent flyer program. These sustaining, monthly or quarterly donations provide key operating support.
- If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can make a TAX-FREE contribution to ASI from your IRA, even if you don’t itemize on your federal tax return. You can arrange a “Qualified Charitable Distribution” to have your financial institute issue and mail a check directly to ASI. This withdrawal counts toward satisfying any “Required Minimum Distributions” you must withdraw from your IRA that calendar year.
- Please remember ASI when you file for your PFD. Pick.Click.Give. allows all Alaskans to donate a portion of their PFD to the causes close to their hearts. ASI is grateful to be one of the 600+ organizations in this valuable program.
- You can also ASI as you go about your daily shopping! We are a part of the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program. ASI receives a quarterly check, and you receive your rewards too! Visit www.fredmeyer.com. Choose “Fred Meyer Community Rewards” from the “Savings and Rewards” drop down menu. Click “Link your Rewards Card now.” Log in, type “Alaska Songbird Institute” into the search box, select ASI, and click “Enroll.” Done!
