ASI’s Future Scientist Fund supports Alaska’s next generation of science and conservation leaders through direct financial support for our K-12 field trips at Creamer’s Field, our youth mentoring program, and our high school and college internships. These programs provide students with unique, authentic research experiences, developing skills in observation, problem-solving, and critical thinking, and building their confidence as they make real world contributions to science and conservation. Students also have the opportunity to connect with Alaska’s wildlife and their habitats through hands on field experiences with wild birds. Alumni of our programs have used their experiences as a foundation for careers in science, education, and the arts.
