Swallows Under the Midnight Sun: Tales from an Alaskan summer with the birds

September 25, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

“What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?” If you thought this Monty Python quip was just a joke, it’s time you met the brave Tree Swallows that come to Creamer’s Field to nest every summer. Join ASI’s Claire Styuck to find out how a bird weighing no more than twenty grams went head-to-head with a curious researcher, and other tales of tree swallow life, death, and adventure as she studied them throughout the summer.
