Fairbanks FeederCount
The Fairbanks FeederCount is a decades-long effort to track winter bird populations in the Fairbanks area. Participants watch their bird feeders and record sightings on three Saturdays (in November, December, and March), then return their data sheet to the Alaska Songbird Institute.

The packet includes instructions, bird ID information, and a data sheet. Counters can also take a look at Common Winter Feeder Birds of Alaska, an infographic originally created by the Alaska Bird Observatory.
Traveling? No problem! If you would like to participate, but are unavailable for one or two dates, you can submit data for just the date(s) you are available. You can also count within one week of each official date.
This year’s count days are: Nov 8, Dec 6, and March 7.
After March 7, return your data sheet to the Alaska Songbird Institute. Thank you!
