These individuals helped to launch the Alaska Songbird Institute in our inaugural year. We are forever grateful for their support and vision. We were honored to receive our very first donation ever made in memory of Ed Kincaid, a fellow Alaskan who loved & appreciated birds. We were also so honored to have received founding donations in memory of Alaskan glaciologist and birder Keith Echelmeyer and ornithologist Betty Anderson.

We would also like to thank the Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation, the Skaggs Foundation, and the USFWS Connecting People to Nature Program for supporting our Youth Mentoring & High School Internship Programs this year!  Their donations provided an opportunity for 16 youth & young adults to spend hundreds of hours outside on Creamer’s Refuge, engaged in research with wild birds, and learning firsthand the fundamentals of science.
