August 28 from 9-11 AM

Enjoy homemade treats, coffee, and juice in the boreal forest as you listen to birds and learn about one of the longest running songbird research projects in Alaska. Join our biologists and volunteers as we check mist nets. Observe migratory songbirds up close, learn about volunteer and membership opportunities, and you may even get to release a banded bird!

This is a family friendly event. Tickets are $10/per person (kids under 5 are free). Proceeds support the project. Walks will leave the Creamer’s Farmhouse every half hour beginning at 9 AM. (The last walk leaves at 10:30 AM.) Registration is strongly recommended, as each walk can only accommodate 10 people. Tickets will only be available the day of the event if space permits.

When you purchase your tickets please be sure to select the number of tickets, enter the total purchase price, and chose your start time: 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, or 10:30. Remember to include your email for important weather and programs updates, and to print your receipt as confirmation. Please call ASI at (907) 888-2121 for more information.
